Fried Mushrooms
I had the raw oysters and the fried mushrooms. You can not find oysters anywhere else for the size and price. They are delicious. The mushrooms are very good and and large portion. I have been coming to Gilhooley's for years and I have never been disappointed. We drive an hour to have the oysters and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
Fried Catfish and Shrimp
Couldn't recommend this enough! I got the potatoes and friend okra to go with it and everything tasted amazing
Picante Doz
I have had a couple of the other grilled oysters, and they were good..... but I always come back to these. Love the mild heat of the salsa and melted cheese with the plump oyster. Heaven!

INHO - Gilhooley's is the ONLY place to eat raw oysters that are fresh and feel safe in doing so. I love this place! All their food is great, but their oysters (all types) taste fresh and are delicious! If you like oysters and you've never been to Gilhooley's you've been missing out- so what's stopping you ... gooooo - now! lol. You'll be glad you did. Oh, and, they have live entertainment too!

Fresh and the best in in town
Fried Shrimp and Oysters Half
Excellent consistency. Fried to perfection. Great price. Sides of hush puppies, fried okra & garlic bread were very tasty as well. The full dozen oysters gilhooley (Rockefeller) were even better. The fried green tomatoes were to die for. The fried combo of chicken livers & gizzards were the best. The pinot grigio house wine is the tastiest I've had & they actually give you a 'full' glass! Can't wait to go back!
